Yadadri Temple
Yadadri Temple Previously known as Yadagirigutta Temple is a popular Hindu Temple of Narasimha Swamy which is situated on the hillock in the Nalgonda District of Telangana State.
Yadagirigutta is renamed as Yadadri on the suggestion of Srimannarayana Chinna Jeer Swamy. Chief Minsiter of Telangana KCR Accepted this name change and he assured to develop yadadri into major spiritual center in Telangana state.
Lord Narasimha swamy is worshiped in Yadadri and is believed as incarnation of Lord vishnu . Yadadri is situated 60 kilometers from the city of hyderabad.
Telangana Government will now give yadadri Sri Laskhmi Narasimha Swamy temple a makeover to match the tirumala Tirupati temple located in andhra pradesh.
In February 2015 , Government of Telangana created Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority to see the reformation of Sri Laskhmi Narasimha Swamy temple.
Yadadri Temple sees about 20,000 to 50,000 pilgrims a year compared to the one lakh visitors of Tirupati temple in a day. Yadadri or Yadagirigutta Temple takes a year to raise what Tirupati temple earns in a day.
According to reports the temple development authority have spotted eight hillocks near Yadadri temple that they plan to develop as a nine-hills complex so as to compete with the Seshachalam hills of Tirupati. This will create a 'perfect pilgrimage' spread over 2000 acres at Yadadri foothills.
